Desktop client freezes after session forces logout

The SureClinical desktop application will force a logoff if sessions become inactive for a period of time. The behavior is triggered after session forces logout due to inactivity and computer goes into sleep mode. At this point the desktop client will lockup and the application will not re-launch after waking the system backup and logging back in.

Workaround to solve this problem:

  1. Run a windows command line prompt type "cmd" from the windows search box and press enter.
  2. From the command line prompt type javaws -viewer
  3. From the Java control panel click the settings option under temporary internet files. Click delete files and leave the default options checked trace log files, cached applications and applets.
  4. Log back into your desktop client the session will re-establish successfully as the old Java cache is removed and a new validation certificate will be issued.
